My name is Victoria.  (I’m the one on the right.) This is not only my first post on this blog, but my first post to a blog ever! I have always had a love of fashion and how it allows me to express myself.  I can be loud, demure, sassy, sexy, nerdy, professional, quirky, bohemian… the list goes on and on.  I’ve never been able to paint or draw or sing or play music or dance (although I sure do love trying!), but I love that I can be creative through fashion.

Fashion often gets a bad rap as just being superficial, but it really can be so much more.  So, I thought that I would initiate this blog with a great example of that.  On Saturday night, I went to a fundraising event at Jimmy Choo at the Palazzo shops in Las Vegas for Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada, which is a nonprofit medical clinic where I volunteer.  It provides free health care and wellness services to patients that wouldn’t otherwise have access to health care.

I’ve been volunteering there for about 3 years now and have really enjoyed it and love the opportunity to be able to give back to my community in Las Vegas and provide dermatologic care. It was started in 2008 and offers adult and pediatric primary care, preventive and acute care, women’s care, well newborn checks and immunizations and offers medications as well.  There is one location currently at 4770 Harrison Dr, Ste 200 in Las Vegas and later this year a second location will be opening in Downtown Las Vegas at Martin Luther King Blvd and Madison Ave.

Everyone was having a great time at the event and it was a wonderful opportunity to not only help a great cause I believe in but also have a little fun and see some amazing shoes and bags!  I’ve never been one to shy away from color and that night I certainly wasn’t disappointed!
