Mother’s Day Fashion

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!!!!

I hope everyone is having a very happy Mother’s day with their loved ones today.  I was certainly very lucky to have my mother here for the weekend! I love her very much and can’t imagine life without her.  I am so very lucky to have her in my life and try to take advantage of every moment I have with her!

As a lucky surprise, we ended up getting tickets to the Rock in Rio concert on Friday and I got to see my favorite band ever, Mana!  The weather was definitely chillier than usual, but I still was able to have fun with what I wore, while keeping myself warm.

This flower crown from H&M added a fun festival flair and this jumpsuit from Forever 21 had a fun 70s vibe!

On Saturday, we had a fun spa day at the Cosmopolitan and got mani/pedis and then hit up Crystals for some shopping!

The place we really had fun at Crystals was at Valentino- I am really getting into the 70s trend (maybe since I was born in ’79)!  And for those of you who follow my blog, you know I am a sucker for color- so here are my picks from the 70s collection.

Although I obviously had fun with all of these looks- who wouldn’t?!?! I think I am loving the shorts the most, as well as the coat!! It’s hard to appreciate it in just a pic, but the coat is a work of art- the stitching and the fit are amazing!!

Last but not least, the day itself- Mother’s Day!!! I am so lucky to not only still have my mother but to be a mother as well!  It’s been amazing and I am so happy with my little family! My husband’s card was so sweet this morning that it brought me to tears! We met my mom for brunch and took pictures afterward around Bellagio.  I try to tell her as often as I can, but my mom means so much to me and I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am without her- she is an amazing and inspiring woman and I hope to live up to her as my son grows up too.  She leaves big shoes (figuratively, she literally wears a size 5!) to fill!

If it was up to me, I would wear hats and fascinators like this all the time!  There is a really cool hat store at Mandalay Bay called Chapel Hats that has amazing hats and fascinators.  I got this for a Kentucky derby party and wear it whenever I can!!  This Prada dress is happy and feminine and just the thing for a beautiful Mother’s day with my family!!!

What did you do to celebrate Mother’s day?  I’d love to hear about it!!! Please share it with me!
