Tourist Fun and Fashion

Happy Sunday!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had such a fun weekend!! One of my best friends was in town for a weekend of fun and a dermatology conference.  It’s always fun to spend time with her and I always have such a blast! It’s also fun to get to spend time on the strip and kinda experience it again like a tourist!

On Friday night, we ate dinner at Mizumi at the Wynn.  Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere was amazing!! There were beautiful Japanese masks on the walls and how can you beat a waterfall in the background.  Talk about tranquil!! Can you believe this dessert?!?!  This is a sweet (no pun intended!) replica of some of the masks on the wall.

The horticultural sculptures are ridiculous!! This hot air balloon, colorful base and hanging globes from the surrounding trees are all completely made of flowers!! Also, my bestie totally rocked this black sexy romper from French Connection and I felt like a Japanese garden in this fitted Alexander McQueen number and Leather Couture by Jessica Galindo custom bag.

The following evening, we set our sights on the Palazzo.  As you can see by our empty plates, the food at Sushi Samba was deelish!!!  We had tasty cooked dishes- from miso marinated cod and shrimp tempura to totally delectable sushi and sashimi offerings!  Again, how can you miss the beautiful floral artistry, like this pumpkin made completely out of flowers.  I think our Bebe jumpsuit and Isabel Marant dress were a perfect mix to the autumn decor!  And to top off the night, we enjoyed people watching and topping off the night with some Rose′ bubbly at the Casino bar.

If you haven’t had the “secret pizza” at the Cosmopolitan- you need to check it out!!! It is sooo tasty and the pepperoni, sausage and meatball toppings make it some of the best pizza in town!

Lastly, what is the ultimate tourist experience if doesn’t include shopping- or at least window shopping?!?!  At Crystals, there is a seemingly unending selection of high end designer clothing and shoe boutiques.  Here were some of the highlight of what we saw for fall collections.  I have always been drawn to the colors and patterns at Emilio Pucci and this collection was no different!! I am loving that burgundy romper and am definitely keeping my eye on that!!! At Fendi, these black booties become anything but basic with the fun pink fur trim and these python boots with tassels are the perfect call to the 70s!!

What did you do this weekend?  Did you hit up any touristy spots where you live?  I’d love to hear about it!!

Lastly, now that it’s October, it’s time to start thinking about Halloween!! Here’s a sneak peek into our costumes!! Any guesses?  You’ll have to stay tune for more updates!!
