Happy Sunday!!!

I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing weekend!! Although it is now fall, the Vegas weather has certainly not gotten the memo yet! We had triple digit highs all weekend!  But that didn’t put a damper in the Vegas fun this weekend!!

On Friday, I was having so much fun wearing this Express floral skirt, I had to try to make a lippie interpretation!

Let me say, not only did I have a blast, but my lips still feel super hydrated from these lip hybrids!! I used House of Beauty in Eclipse, Reign, Midnight, Spank my Pank and Grunge and Who is She Cosmetics in Private Property.

Saturday is all about college football in our house and to our delights both the Aggies and the Cougars came out with a win.  Of course, what is college football without some lip art?

That night was definitely the highlight of the weekend though!! Pamela Sukum, an artist we follow with beautiful pieces that cover flowers, the moon and sun, waves and more was having an exhibit at The Mandarin Oriental.  We have gotten a couple of pieces from her before and were so excited to meet her and see her make a piece in action!!

The previous pieces we have are Waiting (on the left)and Stand (in the middle) and a mini piece as well (on the right)!

Stand was actually personally commissioned for us as part of a charity fundraiser that Pamela did on Kickstarter for the Beautiful Project.  She goes all over the world to impoverished areas to paint murals and bring beauty to people everywhere.  She also spends a great time working with the children in those areas as well.  We are so honored to have been able to have helped with it.

Pamela is such a nice and genuine person and it was such a pleasure to meet her in person!  And of course, we had to sneak in a few more pieces as well!  Not only did we order an original bumblebee piece, with a custom frame to be commissioned, but we also won a silent auction piece, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Beautiful Project and Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada.  Below are some of the pictures of Pamela in action actually creating the piece from the silent auction!

After she finished with the first part, the bottom left image, she still will work on the piece for several hours, as she continues to give the piece all the details that her images are known for.  We also got a kick out of her timing sheet on the bottom right.  She has a background history of working in medical research and her precise timing echoed to that.

We are so happy and lucky to have had such an amazing weekend!! We didn’t get to see Life is Beautiful, but it leaves something for us to check out next year! What did you do this weekend?  I’d love to hear about it and all the beautiful things in your life!

Good night!
