Happy Labor Day!!!
I hope everyone got to enjoy the the holiday and spend time with their family and friends!!!
If you’ve been following me on the blog or on instagram @lovinlivinfashion, you’ve seen how I’ve been having some fun with makeup and my lips. Some attempts are more successful than others, but the journey is nonetheless a blast!! Here is one of the not so successful attempts…
I thought I would try to do a butterfly and got this butterfly stencil that was meant for paper, but I think even with the blue outline, it looks like my toddler son drew! Well, live and learn, and one of these days, I will do a successful butterfly!! If anyone has any tips, I would gladly appreciate any!!!
However, here are some of what I hope and think are more successful attempts… I really liked the pop of green- the underlying lipstick is “Blitzed” from Melt Cosmetics and the texture from the green beads…
This gold lippie- using House of Beauty “Treasured” and REAL gold leaf from Michael’s was a lot of fun to make!! And I couldn’t have done it without my supportive and awesome husband!!!
Since we had an extra day this weekend, we really wanted to make the most of it and took our son to the Dolphin and Tiger Habitat at the Mirage. I think a lot of locals forget about it, but it really is a hidden jewel on the Strip!! Plus, I snuck in a little shopping too and got this amazing butterfly ring at Starlight Tattoo!
Even got a little baking in… Since we are in September now, I got to craving some Fall flavors and made the “Almost Famous” Pumpkin cheesecake from the Food Network!!!
