Happy Sunday!!!
So here is the second of the delayed posts… thank you so much for your patience! 2 weekends ago, we went home to Texas to celebrate our son’s 2nd birthday with family and friends. Call us crazy, but 2 days later we headed out to NYC for vacation and a dermatology conference.
The food in NYC is so yummy and so diverse!! I wish we could’ve had even more time to try more, but we at least got to have a little sampling…
Our first meal in NYC was a traditional street cart hot dog, which felt awesome to do on the street and allowed me to pretend like I was a local! And what is a stay in NYC without stopping in Little Italy- all I can say is YUMMO!!!!! We also love to indulge in the Food Network at home, so we decided to check out Geoffrey Zakarian’s The Lamb’s Club- bottom middle and and Alex Guarnaschelli’s Butter- bottom right. All I can say is…Foodgasm!!! The meals were like heaven and I can’t wait for the opportunity to return!!!
With happy tummies, we hit the streets of NYC!!! One stop was Bergdorf Goodman’s on 5th Avenue, where with the help of my wonderful and patient husband, we found these beauties!!! Giuseppe Zanotti booties on the left and Malone Soulier tie up shooties on the right. What do you think?
Of course, we also hit up the tourist stops while we were there: Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and Central Park
I was already a huge fan before, but I can’t tell you how much more I love flower crowns!! They add fun, festivity, color, and most importantly, cover frizz in humid weather!! Also, I can’t tell you how much fun I had with the multicolored striped custom purse from Leather Couture by Jessica Galindo- I got so many compliments and it brought just the right amount of color to any outfit!!
Hang on tight!! We have so many adventures ahead of us- who knows what will come next?? What are your favorite things to do and wear in NYC? I’d love to hear about it!!!!
